Relic German parachutist helmet shell model M38 without interior. Numerous impacts all over the hull, one of them particularly important at the back. Piece of excavation from the sector of Bastogne. Condition III+. According to the seller, this hull comes from Harlange. On 19 December 1944 advanced elements of the German 5th Parachute Division (5. FallschirmjagerDivision) occupied Harlange. The German forces aimed to control this strategic area in order to advance towards the Arlon-Bastogne road and cut off allied supply lines. Relic of a German paratrooper helmet shell, model M38 without liner. Numerous impact marks across the shell, with one particularly large dent at the back. Dugup item from the Bastogne area. Condition III+. According to the seller, this shell was recovered near Harlange. On December 19, 1944, forward elements of the 5th German Parachute Division (5. FallschirmjagerDivision) occupied Harlange. German forces aimed to control this strategic area to cut off the Arlon-Bastogne road and disrupt Allied supply lines.
