Relic of German gloves, made of Feldgrau wool with white stripes. These were excavated directly from the Gaudry battlefield in 1982. These objects bear witness to prolonged exposure to field conditions. Condition III+. According to the seller these gloves were found in hay at Chaumont. Combat Command B (CCB) of the 4th Armoured Division launched a first attack on Chaumont. The fighting was fierce, with heavy losses on both sides. A second attack was carried out by the CCB. This offensive enabled the American troops to advance towards Bastogne, despite fierce German resistance. The first elements of the 4th armoured division reached Bastogne at 4.30pm, after passing through Chaumont, thus contributing to the lifting of the siege of the town.Relic German gloves made of Feldgrau wool with white stripes.
