Remarkable half-set from the second half of the 19th century in 18k (750 thousandths) yellow gold and coral, consisting of a brooch and two earrings in very good condition. Very high quality coral with smooth and beautifully veined surfaces. The brooch is exceptional because of the central round cabochon measuring 1.3 cm in diameter and the hanging drop in the middle, which is an exceptional 2.5 cm high and 1.4 cm in diameter, with a virtually flawless surface. The gold elements have been finely chased and some evidence of the goldsmith's chisel strokes can be seen on the chasing. Very beautiful and rare in such good condition. Second Empire period in France. Victorian period in England. Brooch size: 7 x 3.5 cm. Size of the earrings: approx. 5 x 2.5 cm. Gross weight: 36 g. Please note that this jewel contains coral.
