Rembrandt Bugatti (1884 Milan - 1916 Paris) after "Deux léopards marchant" (Two pacing panthers). Original title Bronze, dark patina. Posthumous, contemporary 21st century cast after Bugatti's bronze sculpture created around 1911/12. With his formal design reduced to the essentials and the panthers striding close behind one another with great ease, Bugatti reflected the dynamic, tense, fast, energetic power and elegance of the animals and at the same time opposed their traditional heroic depiction.
