Prof. Remo Luca, born on 7 February 1888, was a very well-known and brilliant Italian goldsmith.
He undertook his studies in Florence, carrying out important works of sculpture and goldsmith art, becoming Professor of the Carrara Academy.
From 1936 to 1939 Remo Luca settled in Tripoli, where he founded and directed the goldsmith and silversmith school.
Throughout the war, he stubbornly tried to safeguard the School and finally succeeded in the 1950s in bringing it to a level of high prestige, so much so that many 22kt gold objects appear in the private collections of royalty and political personalities of the Mediterranean.
