Auf der Ober- und Unterseite der gebauchten Säule fein gravierte und geschwärzte Beineinlagen mit figürlichem und ornamentalem Renaissancedekor. Entlang der Seitenkanten Treibjagdszenen vor angedeuteter Landschaft. Auf der Unterseite mythologische Figuren. Entlang der Seiten farbig eingelegte Obstbaumranken mit Vögeln. Along the side edges hunting scenes in indicated landscape setting. On the bottom side mythological figures. Along the sides tendrils of fruit trees with birds inlaid in colours. With adjustable sight, angular trigger guard finely etched. Length 64.5cm, width 60cm. Inscribed on butt-plate: CASPAR SCHVLTEYS V. LEIPTZIG 1586.
