René BUTHAUD 1886-1986 Earthenware piriform vase with black enamelled decoration in light relief on a cracked beige background of women languishing under plants. Signed with the artist's initials on the reverse. Height 28 cm. Minor chips to the heel. This vase was one of a series produced by the artist for the Exposition Coloniale de Paris in 1931, and exhibited at the Galerie Rouard in 1931-1932.
