Representative Napoleon III centrepiece, 6-light; bronze, gilt and partly dark patinated. Baluster-shaped corpus above a curved, rising, open-worked base with latticework in relief and lavish rocailles, surrounded by flower festoons and flanked by sculpted cherubs. Strongly curved candlestick arms on both sides made of opposing volutes with vase-shaped spouts. H. 52 cm. 70 cm x 35 cm. Provenance: Dissolution of an important German private collection - part II.
