Rgya - gling" oboe with a quadruple reed and a "pirouette" between the reed and its support.
This "pirouette" serves as a support for the musician's lips as they practice circular breathing. The body of the oboe is decorated with rings placed between the playing holes. These rings are themselves decorated with semi-precious stones (coral and turquoise). The flared bell is decorated with two ornate brass collars. A chain is used for carrying or hanging. The 'Rgya - gling', used to play melodies, is one of the most popular musical instruments in Tibet and Nepal.
