Reunion of six original satirical drawings in black ink on paper, all signed with the monogram "VL/LV", the compositions illustrating scenes critical of the Popular Front and the Republic, in the form of symbolic attacks featuring allegorical female figures (Marianne) confronted with political or industrial figures: unbalanced scales between the years 1936 and 1939, octopus with totalitarian tentacles, metaphorical cleansing of power.... One drawing is dedicated "to Mr Maurice François-Brajon - June 1938", 1930/1940 (dimensions 32x24.5cm, 24x31.5cm, 21.5x31.5cm - traces of handling, slight folds at the corners, some scattered foxing).
