Beautiful book containing 20 poems by Pierre Reverdy reproduced in facsimile. The illustration consists of 11 colour lithographs by Juan Gris, based on gouaches dating from the 1920s, printed by Mourlot frères. Edition of 205 copies on Arches vellum, signed by the author. The work was not published until thirty years after it was conceived: Léonce Rosenberg planned to have Reverdy's handwritten poems illustrated with Juan Gris's gouaches printed on large panels, but the project never came to fruition. On the death of the art dealer, Reverdy recovered his texts and suggested that Tériade publish them in a more classical form. Discharge of engravings.
