Revolver, six shots, calibre 5,5 mm annular, double action. Fluted barrel. Open frame, hammer body with corked finish. Folding trigger. Ivory stock plates (elephantidae spp.), partly checkered. Engraved and nickel-plated finish (minor oxidation). Blued screws. Length: 13.5 cm; Gross weight: 161 g. In a black leather-covered purse case sheathed in shaped purple velvet. Good condition. Circa 1860-1880. Provenance: Collection of Mr F. EXPERT: Arnaud DE GOUVION SAINT-CYR. // Pre-Convention ivory specimen of Elephantidae spp (I/A), prior to 1 July 1947 and therefore in conformity with EC Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc, and prior to 1 July 1975 and therefore in conformity with the French decrees of 4 May 2017 and January 2022. If the animal is to be exported from the European Union, a CITES re-export permit will be required, at the buyer's expense.
