Seated angel on a rock pedestal
Terracotta, sand-coloured body, white-grey engobed, the edge of the base gilded. Aurili studied at the Academy in Florence from 1878-1883 under Augusto Rivalta and Emilio Zocchi, in 1883 he went to Paris for further studies. From 1890-1904 he exhibited at the Salon, and in 1904 at the World Exhibition in Saint-Louis. At the same time Aurili moved to Brussels, in 1912 he went to Florence, where he himself taught at the Academy, and finally in the 1930s to the south of France. H. 58 cm.
