Paris, Sevin et Rey, 1903; in-12, ebony morocco, pyrographed and painted composition on the upper cover depicting a man in front of Notre-Dame de Paris, looking overwhelmed, ribbed spine, ebony morocco inner frame with bold and light gilt fillets, brown moire lining and endpapers, gilt edges on witnesses, illustrated cover bound in one piece (Noulhac). Very fine edition printed by Renouard in art nouveau type, illustrated by Steinlen: frontispiece, 100 drawings and vignettes including 9 hors texte. One of 100 on Japon (n° 24). Beautiful binding with incised decoration signed by Noulhac.
