SUMMER DRESS in light beige nasha silk gauze, with finely woven polychrome dragon among clouds and cranes in flight. The lower part of the dress is adorned with "lishui" and mountain peaks surrounded by foaming waves in matching tones. (Insolate, threads pulled). China, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912), early 20th century. A BROWN GROUNDED NASHA SUMMER DRESS, CHINA, LATE QING DYNASTY, EARLY 20TH CENTURY. HEIGHT. 120 CM (47 1/4 IN.) - WIDTH. 190 CM (74 13/16 IN.) Provenance Brought back from Indochina in the early 20th century by the current owner's great-grandfather, who was an administrator at the time.
