One of the most accurate French atlases of the 18th century. This copy is the corrected and enlarged edition by Charles François Delamarche. It includes a title-frontispiece engraved by Ch. Baquoy, 4 tables, 12 maps representing ancient geography, and 101 maps (out of 105) with coloured outlines representing modern geography: Mappemonde, continents, Archipelago of the East Indies, Empire of China, New France or Canada, Courses of the Ohio, Virginia and Maryland, West Indies, United States, or even Judea with two plans of Jerusalem in vignettes. Good condition inside. Very worn binding. The Routes of Spain, Italy, Turkey and the map of Paris are missing.
