[ROGER-MARX (Claude Marx, known as) [Paris, Les Cent Bibliophiles], , 1904. La Loïe Fuller. In-4 (26.2 × 19.8 cm), polychrome marbled calf, boards decorated with cold fillets running along the edges of the spine decorated with a gilt motif, gilt edges, illustrated cover preserved (Charles Meunier). First edition, decorated with 19 gypsographs in colour by Pierre Roche, including 2 for the cover. This sculptor was the inventor of the relief-modelled printmaking process, of which this work is the very first example. Limited edition of 130 numbered copies on vellum paper. A nominative copy printed for Adrien Lachenal (No. 55), mounted on mitre boards. A very fine copy of this rare and curious work celebrating the American dancer Loïe Fuller, "one of the most singular oddities of Art Nouveau" (Söderberg, quoted by Osterwalder).
