Occurring on watches that were produced in the 1990's, and watches that have the upside down 6 digit on the 12 hour register, watches with these features are called Compax Marrone or Brown Compax. Color-change or tropical dials are extremely sought after as they usually are attributed to small production runs. Once the firm realized that the dials would change color, it was seen as a defect and consequently the material such as the lacquer used was changed in hopes of finding a solution.
