ROMAN BRONZE APPLIQUE OF A YOUNG SATYR Ca. AD 200. A finely modelled head of a youthful satyr with rounded cheeks, full lips, and wide-set eyes beneath arched brows. Thick, wavy hair is swept back, with a pair of small horns emerging from the crown. Curling locks frame the face and extend down the neck. The reverse is hollow.
