ROMAN BRONZE BRACELET WITH GOLD BEZEL DEPICTING SOL INVICTUS.

A bronze bracelet formed from a flat-section band with a raised circular plaque framed by moulded concentric borders and decorated at each end with triangular clusters of fine granules. At the centre, an applied gold disc with a beaded rim encloses a shallow repoussé bust of Sol Invictus shown frontally with a radiate crown.
Size: 85mm x 80mm; Weight: 35g.
Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired in Switzerland; formerly with W.R. , late 1980s to early 1990s.
