ROMAN BRONZE FIGURINE OF A DEER.
Ca. AD 100 - 300.
A bronze figurine of a deer depicted slightly inclined forward. The head of the animal is raised with a slightly pointed snout, small ears positioned symmetrically, and shallowly incised eyes. The neck is long and gracefully curved, leading to a compact torso with a subtly defined chest and hindquarters. The legs are slender and taper towards the hooves.
