ROMAN BRONZE LEGIONARY EAGLE FIGURINE.
Ca. AD 1 - 300.
A bronze figurine of a legionary eagle standing on a small integral base. The head is turned downward, with a curved beak and engraved eyes. The body is decorated with incised markings suggesting plumage, including curved lines and parallel strokes along the wings. The tail extends horizontally, forming a flat, rectangular section. The legs are short and robust, positioned close together with claws gripping the base.
