ROMAN BRONZE LEGIONARY EAGLE ON BULL CRANIUM Ca. AD 1 - 200. A cast bronze figurine depicting an eagle standing upright with wings drawn in and head turned slightly to the left. The body is compact, with a rounded chest and short tail, perched atop a stylised bull cranium with upward-curving horns. The base is columnar in form, rising from a flat square plinth.
