ROMAN BRONZE RING WITH RED JASPER INTAGLIO DEPICTING ALEXANDER THE GREAT AS HERACLES. Ca. 100 BC - AD 100. A red jasper intaglio engraved with a left-facing bust of Alexander the Great depicted as Heracles, wearing a lion skin tied around his neck. The intaglio is set within a broad bronze ring with a thick, rounded band tapering to the back.
