ROMAN BRONZE SIMPULUM WITH GRIFFIN HEAD TERMINAL Ca. AD 100 . A large bronze ladle with a deep, hemispherical bowl, featuring a volute motif along the rim. The flat-section handle rises directly from the edge of the bowl and culminates in a prominent loop, elegantly sculpted to depict the head of a griffin, capturing the creature's fierce expression.
