ROMAN BRONZE STATUETTE OF MERCURY
Ca. AD 100 - 300. A Roman cast bronze statue of the god Mercury. Mercury is represented standing in counterpois position with stylised muscles. He is depicted wearing his distinctive winged petatus and his chlamys are draped over his shoulders and one of his arms. For similar see: MET Museum Accession Number: 1971.11.11.
