The engraving shows a bearded male figure with a strong, well-defined jawline, a prominent nose, and wavy hair arranged in thick locks framing the forehead and extending to the nape. The beard is rendered with parallel incisions. The intaglio is set within a gold ring with a rounded exterior and broad, smoothly tapering shoulders.
