ROMAN ENAMELLED BRONZE FROG FIBULA Ca. 2nd - 3rd century AD A frog-shaped fibula with an elongated, flat-section body tapering towards the back. The upper part includes two recessed compartments for inlays. Within these compartments are additional circular holes, three per section, intended for small inlays. The head is detailed with eye sockets and undulating incised lines. The four limbs extend from the sides of the body. The reverse contains a hinge, pin, and catch plate.
