ROMAN GLASS TREFOIL OINOCHOE.

A free-blown glass oinochoe with an onion-shaped body narrowing to a short cylindrical neck flaring to a trefoil mouth formed by three pinched spouts with a thickened rim. A solid strap handle is applied at the upper body, drawn up in a broad curve to meet the back of the mouth and finished above in a tight coil.

Provenance: Private London collection; previously acquired from a Belgian collection (1980s-1990s).
