ROMAN GOLD HIGH KARAT SCROLL PENDANT WITH CLUSTERS OF PELLETS.
Ca. AD 1 - 50 A gold scroll pendant formed as a hollow polygonal cylindrical case with opposed domed end caps, each with a projecting knob finial and a beaded collar. The body is decorated with small, clustered pellets arranged in rows. Two triple-ribbed suspension rings are set on the upper side. Size: 12.5mm x 31mm; Weight: 3.7g. Provenance: Private London collection; previously with F.A., Brussels; Belgian collection formed between the early 1970s to the early 1990s.
