ROMAN GOLD RING WITH CARNELIAN INTAGLIO DEPICTING MERCURY Ca. AD 200 - 300 A Roman gold ring with a carnelian intaglio depicting the god Mercury. The god is carved in a stylised manner, wearing a wide-brimmed petaso hat on his head and his iconic winged sandals.
