ROMAN GOLD RING WITH RED JASPER INTAGLIO DEPICTING LUNA.

A gold ring with a narrow hoop and raised oval bezel supported by thickening shoulders, each ornamented at the junction by a cluster of fine granules. Set within a plain box setting with an upright rim is a red jasper intaglio engraved with a left-facing bust of Luna with waved hair, a mantle at the shoulders, and a crescent-topped staff behind the neck.
