ROMAN HIGH KARAT GOLD EARRING WITH PELLETS Ca. AD 1 - 300. A pair of gold earrings. The one on the left is composed of openwork clustered pellets in graduated rows, with a single cylindrical setting at the top and a curved ear loop extending behind. The one on the right features a flat triangular sheet decorated with applied pellets forming a central vertical row and a horizontal base row, with a plain curved ear loop arching to the back.
