ROMAN HIGH KARAT GOLD RING WITH INTAGLIO DEPICTING WINGED CUPID. Ca. AD 50 - 200 A gold ring with a solid hoop tapering towards the back and thickened at the front into a broad flat-topped bezel plate. Set within a plain recess is an oval intaglio engraved with a winged Cupid advancing to the right, the nude figure in profile with small wings at the shoulders and both arms extended.
