ROMAN IMPERIAL EAGLE ON PODIUM Ca. AD 200. A bronze eagle perched atop a tapering, stepped podium with quadripartite base. The bird is rendered with a rounded beak and slightly curved neck, with its wings folded close to the body and detailed with incised feathering. Legs and talons grip the platform firmly.
