ROMAN JASPER INTAGLIO DEPICTING GRYLLOS IN A HIGH KARAT GOLD RING

A red jasper intaglio engraved with a Gryllos motif, combining a bearded mask in left profile, an equine protome rising from the top, and a ram’s head facing right. This composite figure is supported on rooster legs. The intaglio is set within an oval bezel of a gold ring with a slender hoop that broadens slightly towards the shoulders.
