ROMAN MONTEFORTINO TYPE BRONZE HELMET. Ca. AD 1 - 100. A bronze helmet of the Montefortino type, featuring a domed form that closely resembles a jockey cap. The helmet consists of a one-piece bowl constructed from cast and hammered bronze. The apex is crowned with a protruding knob, serving as a decorative and functional element.
