An oval red jasper intaglio engraved with a bearded bust of Serapis wearing a modius, his head turned left, flanked by a star and crescent, above a rearing griffin of Nemesis shown in profile with wings raised and forepaw resting on a fate wheel. The intaglio is set in a plain oval bezel within a smoothly finished gold ring with a flat-section hoop that broadens at the shoulders.
