ROMAN SILVER-GILT AUCISSA BROOCH
Ca. 100 BC - AD 100.
A silver-gilt brooch of Aucissa type, composed of an arched bow with raised central rib flanked by beaded borders. The head is decorated with a scalloped panel and terminates in a transverse cylindrical spring casing. The catchplate is openwork with a trefoil cut-out, and the pin extends from a lateral hinge.
