ROMAN SILVER-GILT PHALERA DEPICTING SOL INVICTUS
Ca. AD 1 - 300.
A silver-gilt phalera with a central repoussé bust of a mythological figure, draped and wearing a radiate crown with triangular rays. The bust is set within a circular field enclosed by a broad, flat rim with a series of concentric grooves. The reverse is plain with an attachment loop.
