ROMAN SILVER SIREN-SHAPED PENDANT Ca. AD 1 - 300. A cast silver pendant in the form of a siren with a human head, bird-like talons, and a feathered body. The wings are delineated along the flanks, and the tail extends to the base. A circular suspension loop is set vertically behind the shoulders. Size: 22.9mm x 9mm; Weight: 4.39g Provenance: Private UK collection; previously acquired on the Holland art market in the 1990s.
