ROMAN TERRACOTTA OIL LAMP WITH FIGHTING GLADIATORS
Ca. AD 1 - 300.
A mouldmade terracotta lamp of Loeschcke type I with voluted angular nozzle and concentric grooves encircling the shoulder. The sunken discus depicts two gladiators in combat, with the filling hole placed slightly off-centre. The base is marked with circular grooves.
