Important collective edition compiled by Pierre Moultou and Du Peyrou "based on the copy prepared in part by the author himself, and it contains remarkable additions in several works" (Brunet). It was printed by the Société typographique de Genève in three formats: in-4, in-8 and in-12. The Confessions appeared in this collective edition at the same time as in the separate edition considered to be the original. The work is decorated with a fine portrait of the author engraved by Saint-Aubin after Maurice-Quentin de La Tour, 36 (out of 37) out-of-text figures engraved after drawings by Le Barbier and Moreau le jeune, of whom this is "one of the best works", according to Cohen. The writings on music contain 14 folding plates of engraved music. A copy uniformly bound in the period, complete with the three volumes of the Supplément and the two volumes of the Second supplément. From the Amédée Burat library, with bookplates in some volumes.
