Reissue of this work by Abbé François Rozier (1734-1793), professor at the Veterinary School set up by Bourgelat, founder of the botanical garden in Lyon, director from 1771 of the scientific journal Observations sur la Physique, l'Histoire naturelle et sur les Arts et Métiers for 10 years in Paris, European collector of botanical varieties, etc. It was in Lyon, where he opened an agricultural school, that he wrote the first nine volumes of his Cours d'agriculture, published posthumously in 1796 and continued by his collaborators.
