[ROZIER (Abbé François)]. Nouveau cours complet d'agriculture théorique et pratique... ou Dictionnaire raisonné et universel d'agriculture. Paris, Deterville, 1809. 13 volumes in-8, half brown basane, smooth spine decorated throughout, speckled edges (Binding of the period). Reissue of this work by Abbé François Rozier (1734-1793), professor at the Veterinary School set up by Bourgelat, founder of the botanical garden in Lyon, director from 1771 of the scientific journal Observations sur la Physique, l'Histoire naturelle et sur les Arts et Métiers for 10 years in Paris, European collector of botanical varieties, etc. It was in Lyon, where he opened an agricultural school, that he wrote the first nine volumes of his Cours d'agriculture, published posthumously in 1796 and continued by his collaborators. Interesting work decorated with 60 copper-engraved folded figures out of text. From the library of C. de B. Rang, with bookplate.
