MOUNTED HUNTER'S SABRE OR LANCER OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD Second model. Brass guard. Oval cap with long tail. Wooden fuse covered with copper watermarked leather. copper (accident to the watermark). Curved blade and counter-edge marked on the back on the back "Mfture Imp le du Klingenthal June 1811", stamped "L" for Lobstein. Probably re-cut at the tip. One-hole scabbard, wooden core, two brass fittings and side splints. Crevé covered with blackened leather and iron sting. Two brass bracelets and rings. Some damage and oxidation. France, First Empire period. Total length: 99.5 cm Some knocks and oxidation. PROVENANCE : - Roger de Montégudet collection (1880-1925) - by descent to this day.
