HORSE GRENADIER'S SABRE OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD SECOND MODEL Brass mounting. Oval cap with beading. V-shaped joint arch with two branches from which stand two branches holding a medallion with a grenade. Plate integral with the guard, palmette tail stamped from the Versailles factory. Wooden spindle covered with filigree leather. (accident). Slightly curved blade with hollow signed on the back "MFture IMPle du Klingenthal Coulaux Freres" and and stamped Beaumaretz. Brass scabbard with two leather hollows, two iron bracelets and in iron. France, First Empire period. Total length: 113 cm PROVENANCE : - Roger de Montégudet collection (1880-1925) - by descent to this day.
