MARINE SABRE FROM THE ANCIEN RÉGIME Brass mounting. Long-tailed cap assembled to the hilt. Jointed bow with two detached branches forming a "skeleton" shell with a marine anchor anchor motif. Wooden fuse covered with brass filigree leather. Straight blade with flat edge and double edge featuring a large Moorish profile. No scabbard, oxidation. France, early Louis XVI period. Total length: 97 cm PROVENANCE : - Roger de Montégudet collection (1880-1925) - by descent to this day.
