German artillery officer's sabre. Handle covered in stingray with double filigree. Lion head pommel with red glass eyes. Gilt brass mounting, Blücher-style single-branch hilt with eagle and cannon decoration, half-barrel decorated with two crossed cannons on obverse, hallmarked GESCHUTZT on underside. MUSTER. Curved blade stamped on the heel with a shield marked "Z" under crown, engraved with foliage on the third. Black painted sheet metal scabbard (wear) with one strap. Length: 90 cm. A.B.E.
