LIGHT CAVALRY OFFICER'S SABRE Consulate - First Empire period Blackened wood handle with squared pattern (cracked at the beginning). Brass mounting. Short-skirted melon-ribbed cap. Hilt with one fluted branch and two shuttle-shaped pommels. Quillon curved towards the point. Curved Solingen blade with flat back, counter-edge, gutter and hollow sides, engraved, gilded and blued in thirds, decorated with trophies of arms, flowers and foliage. Brass scabbard with two flat bracelets and two rings. Length: 99.5 cm Used B.E. (service wear on the rings).
