HUSSAR OFFICER'S SABRE À LA HONGROISE Gilt and chased brass mounting. Cap with long tail joined to the hilt. It is decorated with chevrons and rocaille. Beaded joint arch, baguette cruise and straight quillon. and straight quillon. Striated ebony buttstock and pierced for the strap with brass eyelet (crack). Strong blade with and counter-edge. It is engraved along its entire length. Side 1: profile of Francis II under crown, captioned and trophy of arms. On the upper part a coronation scene and foliage. Side 2: Profile of Alexander Leopold Palatine with caption, profile of Maria Theresa under crown with legend. Scrolls and representation of a king holding the orb and sceptre and crown of the Holy Empire. The cutting edge is fully captioned, but only partially due to repeated sharpening. Scabbard with rocaille with rocaille decoration, wooden core covered blackened leather with three brass fittings brass fittings. Reinforced on the edges with splints of the same type.
